The Arsonists

by Max Frisch

A city under attack by arsonists.

One man who will give them the matches.

Hertfordshire County Youth Theatre in Alistair Beaton's up to date and witty translation of the classic Max Frisch play.

The fire brigade are on the lookout for anyone or anything suspicious. Mr Biedermann, on the other hand, refuses to lose his faith in humanity. When two unexpected houseguests arrive, he generously offers them board and lodging. As they fill his attic room with petrol drums, he’ll wine them and dine them, help them wire the fuse - even provide them with a box of matches.

Destruction has turned up at the front door.

And it's starting to feel at home...
